After the Battle

LOCATION:  Zimbabwe,Hwange National Park

Two brothers reconcile after a battle on the plains of Savute. This piece was  one of several completed after coming back to a fierce winter, one that kept me marooned in the studio with roads buried under ice and snow. The hot colors played an important role in this piece and others in the series, understandably.

This piece was originally created on paper instead of canvas.  To create the effect of the original artwork over a matte background, giclees are reproduced with a brown textured border (as shown).  Border is printed and cannot be removed.
