Two Wild Dogs

Some say the origin of all wolves and dogs—the Cape Hunting Dog. Sometimes referred to as the "Painted Wolf" of Africa, it is highly endangered where it ranges, mostly Botswana, Namibia and parts of South Africa. Matriarchal society presents an alpha female as leader. One of my favorite and most elusive of models.

This piece was originally created on paper instead of canvas.  To create the effect of the original artwork over a matte background, the giclee is reproduced with a brown textured border (as shown).  Border is printed and cannot be removed.
